January 11, 2012 - Strategies to Motivate Gifted Learners

February 8, 2012 - Managing the Effects of Stress and Using Appropriate Discipline With Gifted Learners

March 14, 2012 - Recognizing and Communicating About Feelings

April 11, 2012 - Establishing Family Traditions That Nurture and Support Your Gifted Learner

May 9, 2012 - Finalizing Plans for the School Year's End and Discussing Summer Plans. Rebecca will be present to discuss the topics she explored at the William and Mary Center for Talent Development conference in March.

Past topics of discussions particular to gifted learners have included asynchronous development, perfectionism, parenting challenges and delights, visual-spatial learners, and social and emotional well-being of gifted learners.

All meetings are held from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. in room 115a (LX Club) in the Dunwood Building where The Center is also located. Participants are welcome to attend for all or any portion of a meeting that they are available.
